About us

Joshua House Life Centers Mission

To give hope, family, education, and the love of Jesus to children, providing a healthy and happy home environment that will enable them to thrive in life.

Because of our unique positioning, amazing teams, and available homes to provide shelter in Western Ukraine, we are expanding our Mission for the duration of this crisis to provide help to all those we can help.

Meet our founders

Jim and Sandy McCann

Jim and Sandy moved to L’viv, Ukraine in 1993.  Shortly after arriving, heartbreak shook them and they lost their son Joshua.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, they started seeing so many broken and hurting children living on the streets.

Soon their mission changed from planting a church to creating a healthy and nurturing home for these hurting children, and the vision for Joshua’s house was born.

Jim and Sandy have worked tirelessly together for nearly 30 years rescuing children and sharing the Good news of love and hope.

Now, Jim and Sandy have become parents to many formerly orphaned, abused, and abandoned Ukrainian children. God has brought the fatherless and the childless together and made them one big loving family.

Jim and Sandy enjoying being surrounded by their children at the Summer Camp. Each each year they host summer camps for all the children in the region.
